COMMISSIONS

Requesting an artist to create a specific piece of art is referred to as a commission. It is a great way for a collector to individualize a painting. Over the years I have done quite a number of commissioned paintings, from collectors' homes, beloved pets, vacation spots, even a favorite hole on a golf course.

Don't get me wrong, every painting I paint has passion, and I hope that passion is shared from my canvas to the viewer. On a commissioned painting, however, I am taking someone else's desire and working to capture it, perfectly, on canvas - not a photo, a vision. I love talking to the art patron, learning bits and pieces about them, and sometimes I am even to capture small details they didn't even realize they divulged.
